Shetland Heat Energy and Power are seeking to recruit a
Mechanical technician
Duties and responsibilities will include carrying out maintenance and repairs on our boilers, pumps and associated equipment in our plant room at the peak load boiler station at our premises at Gremista. The candidate should also be capable of assisting with connections and repairs on pipework on the district heating scheme in Lerwick. There will also be a requirement to join an on call rota system to provide out of office support to monitor and intervene on the control system for the network when required.
We are seeking candidates with a mechanical qualification or trade who can provide demonstrable experience of work of this nature.
Sheap has plans to add additional zero carbon energy sources to the network and this is an exciting opportunity to work in the green energy sector.
