Temporary Engineering Assistant
We operate the Lerwick district heating scheme which carries energy through a network of underground pipes of approximately 40 km, around Lerwick. This provides heating and hot water to around 900 domestic customers and 250 non-domestic properties.
We are looking for a practically minded individual to join our team for the busy summer period to help with our annual network renovation programme and for support to our technicians with various mechanical projects.
Applicants should possess a full clean driving licence. The position will commence in May and end in late August/September. This can be flexible dependant on the successful applicants circumstances.
This role would be particularly suitable for a student looking for engineering related Summer work in Shetland.
