Funding options for home energy efficiency improvements in your home

Did you know you may be eligible for funding of up to £9000 to improve your home energy efficiency.  If your home is in council tax band A-D, you own your home or you are a private tenant, you have lived there for more than 6 months and it is your main residence you may be eligible.  Measures available are loft insulation, room in roof insulation, flat roof insulation, internal wall insulation (solid wall properties only) cavity wall insulation, single glazing upgrades, insulated door upgrades, hot water cylnder insulation, draught proofing.  To find out more contact Shetland Islands Council Carbon Management Team on 01595 7441479 or email: carbonmanagement@shetland.gov.uk
