Your district heating unit should now have been inspected and upgraded with the necessary earthing arrangements to our equipment.  If you are unsure whether these works have been completed on your unit please contact us on 01595 745151.

This follows the discovery that there may be an issue with the wiring to the circulating pump at the heat exchanger.

If you have not already been contacted we would ask you to check to ensure that nothing in your property is lying against this cable, which in the vast majority of cases will be white, and that there is no discolouration of the cable. If there is discolouration of the cable, please get in touch with us on (01595) 695151 and we will send a technician out to check for you.

We are keen that works are completed to all properties on the Lerwick District Heating Scheme so if you are unsure please contact this office as soon as possible.
