Planned Shutdown

Shetland Heat Energy & Power will be carrying out essential planned maintenance at our Peak Load Boiler House overnight on Thursday.

To complete this work safely and efficiently, the entire district heating network will be shut down from 20:00 on Thursday until approximately 04:00 on Friday morning. During this time, there will be no heating or hot water available across the network.

No action is required by customers. Heating and hot water will return automatically once the network restarts in the early hours of Friday morning, with full service expected between 06:00 and 07:00.

This shutdown forms part of our routine preventative maintenance programme and is essential to keep the system running safely, efficiently, and reliably. We plan these works carefully to minimise disruption and only carry them out when absolutely necessary.
